For the purpose of these terms and conditions a bet request refers to a client's instructions to request Best Bookies to place bet a bet with Punta Bookmaking.

Best Bookies provides a bet placement service to PUNTA Bookmaking. Best Bookies makes or places bets with PUNTA Bookmaking in accordance to the client's instructions through an authorised gateway from www.punta.com.au.

For this reason the Terms & Conditions outlined below are relevant to PUNTA Bookmaking and Best Bookies, dependant on which party handles the specific responsibility to the client.

Internet Betting Regulation

PUNTA is regulated in Western Australia under the Betting Control Act and Racing and Wagering Western Australia Act conducted by Racing, Gaming Liquor Western Australia.

Account Verification

For regulatory reasons, PUNTA is required to verify the identity of all new Australian customers within 21 days.

Once you have opened an account you must provide a scan of 100 points of required identification documents within 21 days to admin@punta.com.au. Verification can take up to 3 days and is free of charge.

Primary Identication Documents

  • Australian Learner Permit (current)
  • Australian Passport (not expired more than 2 years)
  • International Passport (not expired more than 2 years)
  • Proof of Age Card (current and government issued)
  • Centrelink Pension Card (current)

Secondary Identication Documents

  • Utility Bill or Council Rates Notice (less than 3 months old)
  • Taxation Notice or Centrelink
  • Vehicle Registration or Novated Lease documentation

Betting Terms & Conditions

Winnings collected from the wagering operator will be credited to your account after confirmation of the final result.

All monetary values on this site are in Australian Dollars (AUD).

All dividends displayed on this site indicate the total return for a $1.00 investment (including the investment).

All bets placed with Australian wagering operators are under the jurisdiction of the relevant State or Territory Government where that wagering operator is licensed.

You are responsible for all requests placed with PUNTA Bookmaking through your account. It is your responsibility to check that the details of your requests are correct before it is submitted to Best Bookies.

No bet is deemed valid until the wagering operator or his agent has confirmed the bet and a ticket (receipt) number received by Best Bookies is returned to PUNTA Bookmaking.

No bet request may be cancelled, changed or modified by the client in any way once PUNTA Bookmaking begins processing that request.

Clients with insufficient funds to request a bet may be restricted from viewing the wagering operators' dividends. This restriction will automatically be lifted once sufficient funds are available.

It is illegal to place or request bets through the Internet in some jurisdictions. It is your responsibility to ensure that no laws are violated by your use of Best Bookies' betting services, including the use of your account.

Every effort will be made to ensure that the dividend displayed on the wagering operators betting board and the website are identical. However, if due to technical failure, time delay, human intervention or any other reason there is a discrepancy between the dividends displayed on the wagering operators betting board and the website, the dividends displayed on the wagering operators betting board on course will be deemed to be correct.

If any funds are credited to your account in error it is your responsibility to promptly notify PUNTA Bookmaking and to return any such funds which have been erroneously credited to your account.

PUNTA Bookmaking has the right to correct any errors in your account and this may be done at any time without notice to you. PUNTA Bookmaking will not be responsible to you for any loss suffered by you during any period within which your account is affected by such correction of errors.

PUNTA Bookmaking and Best Bookies has the power and the right to suspend or cancel your account without providing any reason for so doing. PUNTA Bookmaking will not be responsible to you for any loss suffered by you during any period within which your account is suspended or cancelled.

PUNTA Bookmaking may close your account or take other action if you breach any of these terms and conditions.

PUNTA Bookmaking reserves the right to cooperate fully with any law enforcement agency or Racing Authority in regard to any legal direction or request to disclose information (including personal information) to assist in their investigations.

You will not disguise in any way the actual IP address of the computer or do anything which prevents PUNTA Bookmaking correctly identifying the actual IP address of the computer you are using to access PUNTA Bookmaking' website.

In the absence of manifest error, Best Bookies records of will be conclusive evidence of all transactions on your Account. Best Bookies will not accept your records or records produced by you as evidence of any such transactions.

Should any of Best Bookies' terms and conditions be adjudged void, unenforceable or invalid by any competent court, tribunal or government authority, then such terms and conditions will be modified to the full extent permitted by law so that they become as effective, as nearly as possible, to the original meaning and intent of the original text. In any event, the remaining terms and conditions will be unaffected.

By opening an account with PUNTA Bookmaking you acknowledge that you have read understood and agree to be bound by Best Bookies' Terms and Conditions, Privacy Policy and such other terms and conditions as may appear on our website from time to time.

Resolving Betting Disputes

PUNTA Bookmaking will record all valid bet requests.

PUNTA Bookmaking & Best Bookies will attempt to resolve any dispute. If the dispute cannot be resolved satisfactorily, the matter will be referred to the racing stewards or regulator for resolution.

Disputes must be lodged within twenty eight (28) days from the date the wager in question has been decided. The client is solely responsible for their account transactions.
